Background

The idea to start Walters Photographic could have originated from the moment I heard the story of how my great grandfather's ambrotype, tucked away in his vest pocket, deflected a bullet when he fought in the war at Gettysburg. Or it could have grown from my father's love of the darkroom, which he passed on to my brother and I.

However the idea was born, photography has been my passion and vocation since 1981.

Our humble beginnings as a preschool photographer has grown into a studio that photographs 10,000 kids a year in school photos, dance and athletics photography, sports teams photography and family photography in the Scottsdale, AZ area.

Liz Walters
Owner, Photographer

I love taking pictures and was lucky enough to grow up in a household where that love was encouraged and nurtured. After working as a preschool director and a junior high school teacher, I decided to turn that interest into a profession and started Walters Photographic in 1981. This allowed me to work with the two things that were the most important to me, children, and photography.
In addition to working in and growing Walters Photographic I enjoy family activities with my husband, children and grandchildren. My husband and I love traveling all over the country in our RV where we can be found taking in local events, snapping pictures and doing genealogy.
I am very grateful that Monica, Carisa, Carmella and Cindy are carrying on the tradition of excellent child photography and are constantly developing new products and methods that will help families preserve their precious memories.

I am Carisa Joy! I was born and raised in Arizona and thoroughly enjoy and explore our state. I absolutely love working with kids capturing memories for others to cherish forever because you can't rewind time, but you can stop it with a photograph. Family is everything.

Monica Espiritu
Office Manager

Monica has been working for Walters Photographic since 2001. Although she was hired on a part time basis, Monica became a full time employee and is now our Office Manager and Customer Service Rep. Her duties include overseeing the day in and day out office duties, networking with clients, scheduling, prep for picture day and working closely with our photo lab expertise.
When Monica is not working for WP, she enjoys playing with her 3 cats, working out, hiking, long walks, and watching Netflix movies.
